Never Shook, New collaborations bring Good Things!

Erie PA has seen quite a change in its Underground Music scene over the last 10 years. In the spring of 06 Producer, DJ and Founder of 814 Bass Crew, “NATASK” had found himself back in western PA, (Erie) with an opportunity, or blank canvas as there was a huge void in Electronic Music. Right around the same time period there were also a whole new group of emerging MCs. Both groups struggled to find an outlet, or a stage to present their talents within their Local city scape. As time went on 814 BASS Crew was established and began hosting a variety of events featuring some of the most cutting edge DJs from around the world, all while slowly working the MC culture into these shows. As this was all going down 2189 Skateboard shop Founder “Iggy” Imig, began a series of underground Hip Hop shows, also hosting Talent from all around the US…. as both scenes emerged, it was only natural that there would be some overlap and collaboration. One of the current Hip Hop Acts that have been on the Up and up, hosting tracks with Veteran MCs from around the state Like BEEDIE and JOHN QUEST, is HOLLAH HOUSE. MACK BOYER, of the Hollah House Crew is now dropping this first Single with Producer and DJ, NATASK titled “Never Shook”. With a choice break, Deep Bass and Sultry String arrangements, have a Listen as Mack goes in with laments to his youth, and come up…. much like the scenes these two artists represent.

Her continually growing catalog of remixes and original music spans several genres and her most recent EP “Smoke City,” out on Muopia Records, made it to #15 on Beatport’s top Drum and Bass charts. Collaborating with several artists from all around the country and upcoming releases on multiple labels, her production skills are in high demand. People stop and notice when this diva rocks the stage with her innate ability to tap into exactly the right vibe to mesmerize the crowd. Doing vocal performances with hard hitting artists such as Ill-esha, Freaky Flow, Wick-it the Instigator and the Widdler, (just to name a few) she rocks the mic with charismatic style, seductive melodies and a sassy flow. Most recently Miss Haze joined forces with Corrine, another hard-hitting bay area female DJ, to form the dynamic duo ‘BITCH PLZ!.’ Together they deliver a captivating stage show full of booty poppin’ basslines and sexy swag.

Always at the forefront of bass heavy music, she is an intrinsic part of San Francisco’s edm community. Whether it’s on the mic, from behind the DJ booth or in the studio making hits, Miss Haze owns it and throws down ill-tight sound wherever she goes.

BASS NATION PITTSBURGH : Keys N Krates Winter Tour 2013

Keys N Krates formed in 2008 out of a desire to do something different. They wanted to take the remix/electronic sound out of the studio and onto the stage, creating a new live electronica experience. The Toronto-based trio – comprised of the high-energy Adam Tune on drums, synth-master David Matisse on keys, and internationally award-winning Jr. Flo on turntables – began by locking themselves in a rehearsal room for six months to create and finesse their unique sound and identity. The result? A blend of hip-hop, electronica, and jam that truly shows off the artistry of the live remix. Keys N Krates collage raw samples and twist them with live instrumentation, creating a unique party sound. With two live off-the-floor mixtapes and a slew of official remixes under their belt, the outfit is set to release their next EP “So-Lo” on Dim Mak Records in 2013. Over the last year, KNK toured with and played alongside artists including; Pretty Lights, Lotus, Skrillex, Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Metric, Timbaland, Zed’s Dead and more. In 2012 the band continued to make an impact on the festival scene, playing major shows at Wakarusa, Ultra Music Festival, Movement Festival, Osheaga and Sonar in Barcelona. The band also produced several hype machine chart topping remixes for Bassnectar, Adventure Club, Zeds Dead and Nelly Furtado. To really grasp what Tune, Matisse, and Jr. Flo bring to the stage, you have to see it up close. Their shows are filled with high-energy sets that are made to be witnessed live. The guys continue to craft and grow their sound and style, exposing audiences worldwide to the Keys N Krates experience.
