What is FADED FEST?
Faded Fest is an enormous all-ages Pittsburgh based showcase featuring over 80 artists, bands, DJs, designers and more! The event is now 7 years in the making and continuing to grow rapidly. Utilizing almost the whole Station Square nightclub complex, Faded Fest will take over the area on Saturday July 27th, 2013. The purpose of this unique event is to bring together all different genres of music and artists and fuse them together into one large showcase. Faded Fest serves as a great way to network, gain exposure and be introduced to many new fans while being aligned with music and artists you may never have heard otherwise.

DJ Battle @ Faded Fest 7/27/2013
5pm – 7pm
Hosted and produced by DJ Magic Mike
Battle Format
1. Maximum DJ’s that can enter: 15
2. The battle will consist of 3 rounds.
3. Will be open music format, any kind or style of music.
4. DJ’s will be judged by 3-4 celebrity judges (TBA) by a set point system.
5. Judges will score points on multiple categories including but
not limited to, mixing, song selection, scratching, beat
juggling, and showmanship.

First Round
1. All DJ’s will play a 5 minute set.
2. Judges will pick 4 contestants to move on to round 2.
Second Round
1. The 4 winners of round one will play a DIFFERENT 5
minute set.
2. Judges will pick 2 contestants to move on to round 3.
Final Round
1. Final contestants will play another DIFFERENT 5 minute set.
2. Judges will decide the winner.
Prizes
There will be a $25 entry fee to join the battle and the winner will take all cash plus:
-Bragging Rights
-A Clique Vodka Prize Pack
-$250 minimum cash prize
-An Opening Set for a National DJ via FadedIndustry.com and our participating venues

Every DJ that participates in the battle will also get 10 complimentary tickets ($100 value) so that they may give them away to supporters or sell them to recoup their entry fee.

We hope you’re all enjoying this sweltering summer weather in the gorgeous Erie, PA… or wherever you are for that mater 🙂  But if you’re around, and we sure hope you are, beat the heat by coming down to the most hoppin’ place in town- the Crooked I. Tonight is NatasK’s weekly residency and you don’t wanna miss out on the good vibes, great tunes, and drink specials sure to make you smile from ear to ear… Tonight NatasK is pulling all kinds of sounds from Moombah to Jungle, some Trap, and of course just that good bass music you know and love! This music will keep you guys dancin’ all night long, so come out and get funky with us. The Wednesday mash-up will be in session from 10PM til 2AM and this week I’m back, so I’ll be streaming the night live on, you guessed it, BassBlogTV. If you missed it, Joe (NatasK) and myself (Amanda) both ran in the Miles Against Melanoma 5K in Pittsburgh this past Saturday- this 5K raised awareness and benefited Melanoma research, and was very near and dear to me since it was also in memory of my father (who I lost to Melanoma a couple years ago). The event turn-out was AMAZING, especially thanks to my sister Jessica who organized it! Both Joe and myself got great times in overall competition as well as in our individual age brackets, had a great time, and met some really amazing people. We want to share more inspiration for our healthy lifestyles and fitness passions with you guys, so be on the look out….. and check out this great photo of your bass-smasher NatasK gettin’ his grind on during the race–
